Move on Up - Curtis Mayfield

This song is now 45 years old.  Something I have been wondering about music:  do you think that in 1970, young people were still listening to tunes from 1925?  I feel like, as time has gone on, teens and early twenty-somethings have been a lot more appreciative of music from generations before.  Maybe it's because of the way that music was marketed producing glamorous musicians who rocketed to stardom in the mid 50's - early 60's?  Or I could be completely wrong.   I really need to speak with my grandmother on this issue.  STAT!  In the mean time, enjoy some Curtis Mayfield from 1970!
